I have a graveyard of half-used hair products in my bathroom cabinet. Serums that made my scalp itch, oils that left my hair looking like I hadn’t washed it in a week. So when I kept seeing Celui The One pop up, I was skeptical. Another natural haircare brand promising the world? I ordered anyway, mostly out of curiosity.
Here is what I actually think after a couple of months.
What Celui The One offers
It is a small natural haircare line founded by Anisa Sojka, made in the UK. The range is fairly focused, which I appreciate. You get a scalp growth serum, a nourishing hair oil, plus a few accessories like a silk hair cap, a microfiber towel and a bamboo scalp massager. Everything is vegan, cruelty free and silicone free. Prices sit in the mid range, roughly 24 to 48 pounds per item.

What stood out to me
A few things genuinely surprised me.
- The oil is not greasy. This was my biggest worry. I have fine hair and pure oils usually weigh it down. Two drops rubbed between my palms and run through the ends was plenty. No stringy look.
- The scent. There is a soft lavender note that lingers for a day or two. It is not perfumey or overpowering, which I liked.
- A little goes a long way. One bottle lasted me ages. For the price, that matters, because it works out cheaper per use than it looks.
- The silk cap. I was on the fence about spending 48 pounds, but I wake up with far less frizz and my hair feels smoother in the morning.
The scalp serum
I have been using the serum on my temples where my hairline had thinned a bit. I am not going to claim miracles after a short time, but the scalp massager it pairs with does feel nice at night and I have noticed some fine new growth. I will keep going and see.
The drawbacks
Nothing is perfect. The range is small, so if you want shampoo or conditioner you will need to look elsewhere for now. The silk cap and towel are a real investment upfront, and not everyone will want to spend that on accessories. Shipping felt a touch slow, though it did arrive in good condition. Minor stuff, honestly.
My verdict
I did not expect to become a repeat buyer, but here I am on my second bottle of oil. It does what it says without the heaviness I dreaded, the ingredients feel clean, and my hair genuinely looks healthier than it did in spring. If you have fine or damaged hair and you have been burned by greasy oils before, Celui The One is worth a try. I would recommend starting with the oil and adding the silk cap later if you fall for it like I did.
