Goglean.co.uk Reviewed: Is It Actually Worth Buying From?

I first stumbled across Goglean.co.uk when I was hunting for something to sort out the sad state of my patio joints. The old grout was crumbling out in patches, and I wanted a fix that did not involve hiring anyone. So I placed an order, waited, and here is how it went.

What Goglean.co.uk actually sells

It is a UK cleaning and restoration brand under the GLEAN name. The range is wider than I expected. There are patio jointing compounds, grout revivers, stone sealers, and a load of specialist cleaners for things like composite sinks, quartz worktops, shower glass and even kitchen cupboards. Basically the awkward jobs around a home and garden that normal supermarket sprays never quite handle.

What stood out to me

A few things left a genuine impression after using them for a couple of weeks.

• The patio grout is genuinely easy. The brush-in jointing compound is ready to use and self-setting, so I was not mixing buckets of anything. It went into the joints and set without much fuss.
• Free next day shipping. This applies to all items, and mine did turn up the next day, which I honestly did not believe until it arrived.
• The products are specific. Instead of one all-purpose spray, they make a limestone cleaner, a shower descaler, a composite sink restorer and so on. The targeted stuff worked noticeably better on my black granite sink.
• Reviews back it up. The patio grout alone has 40 reviews sitting around 4.7 out of 5, which matched my experience.

The minor drawbacks

It is not perfect. A few products were out of stock when I looked, including the composite sink restorer I wanted first time round, so I had to wait. The prices are also a little higher than a generic bottle from the shops. You are paying for the specialist formula, and for one-off jobs that might feel steep. Some newer cleaners only have one or two reviews so far, so there is less feedback to go on.

My verdict

I went in a bit sceptical and came away sold. The patio came out looking presentable again, the sink cleaner did what it promised, and delivery was quick. If you have got a specific cleaning or restoration job that ordinary products keep failing at, Goglean.co.uk is well worth a look. I will be reordering the grout when I tackle the rest of the path.
